On Fire: the Holy Spirit in Each Person, vol. 3 -

"A demonstration of the Spirit is given to each person for the common good." A guy by the name of Paul wrote these words in a letter to groups of new Christians who were at each others' throats and who were crossing lines they shouldn't have been crossing. For some reason, Paul that the word they desperately needed to hear was about how the Holy Spirit is one who allows us to even say, "Jesus is Lord," and the one who gives us unique gifts in God's mission to begin with. Maybe it's a word we need to hear, too?

Scripture References: 1 Corinthians 12:1-7

From Series: "On Fire: the Holy Spirit in Each Person"

When God created humankind, God placed a flame inside us. Jesus comes to show us what it looks like to live a life with more than a flickering flame. He comes to reveal to us God’s holy fire, to show us what it looks like to live a life completely on fire. Finally, he comes to prepare us to receive the same Spirit, the same Companion, the same Fire that fully set him on fire so that we will light up with the Glory that lights him up, so that we will be ignited in our unique place in the mission of God along with all of our brothers and sisters.
