Growing What Is Good, Finale:

The writer of a letter we’re looking at highlights the strangeness of this land and time in which we find ourselves. Whatever may seem to be the case, this situation in which we find ourselves, according to the writer of this letter, is ultimately fleeting. And yet, just because it’s fleeting does not mean that it is inconsequential or meaningless; on the contrary, it is in this ordinary time in this ordinary land where we now have the opportunity to join our lives up with extraordinary New Creation of the Eternal Jesus. Put super simply, what we do here, what we do now in the ordinary can be joined up with the extraordinary New Creation of Jesus. This message is the finale of our series, and that is the point. We’ll talk about that. And we’ll talk one more time about how.

From Series: "Growing What Is Good"

When we talk about “growing what is good”, we are not just talking about growing something outside of ourselves. We are talking about growing…us. We are originally good, supremely good, according to Genesis 1. Jesus comes to Earth to take on what has destroyed us and restore us to our original goodness. He is the first of the New Humanity in the New Creation. He calls us to become part of the New Humanity in the New Creation.
