Everyone Has a Place, vol. 5: The Peace and Joy of Staying in Your Lane

Message at 25:00. There’s something we say sometimes at HEC: No one can do something about everything, but each of us is gifted and called to do something about something. This reality indicates that we can experience frustration in a couple of different ways. One, our lives can be frustrating when we’re living far from our unique purpose and calling–we’re not doing that special something about something we can do. Two, our lives can be frustrating when we’re dabbling in our unique purpose, but we’re also dabbling in many other things–we’re doing a little bit of everything about everything. When we grow in our personalities, strengths, weaknesses and purposes with the help of the Spirit–and empower others likewise–there is a growing peace and joy that comes with it.

From Series: "Everyone Has a Place"

In this series, we want to help people come to a deeper understanding about what makes you you and about how everyone has a place in Jesus’s mission. We want to equip people with spiritual (as well as scientific and psychological) perspectives about personality. We want to help people appreciate how God equips each person with strengths and purpose in God’s dream for humankind and the world. We want to explore and share tools and practical knowledge with folks to help everyone live into the joyful reality that everyone has a place in the mission of Christ. In the end, we want to help each person come alive in their Spirit-ignited true self in a way that blesses them, God and others.
