Where's Jesus? vol. 1
Message at 24:20. If you’re looking at a Where’s Waldo? (or Where’s Wally? in the UK) picture or an I Spy book, it’s fun to search for something that is in plain sight but hard to see. What’s not as fun is what data and stories are telling us about people’s experience of Christianity in our neck of the woods. Many feel like they can look and find Christianity in every direction, but what they can’t see is Jesus. Jesus should be in plain sight, but he isn’t. This is the Christianity problem. We’re kicking off a series to explore this problem and to talk about the opportunity we have to find and follow the Jesus who is still very much worth following. Data and stories reveal that a growing number of people, especially in younger generations, don't want much to do with Christianity. Folks feel like they can see Christians in every direction, but they can't necessarily see Jesus in the Christians they find. We're going to have an honest, hopeful series of conversations about rediscovering the Jesus whom so many folks in the first century were thrilled to see and seek with everything.
