The Spiritual Life We're Yearning for, vol 1: Seeing What Can't Be Seen

Message at 24:40. Almost everyone, if they’re honest, will tell you that one of the hardest parts of living a life of deep faith is that we can’t see God; or even if we have powerful encounters with God, they seem to be followed by lots of other frustrating or confusing experiences where God is hard to see. No matter what you believe about Jesus, he was a living, breathing human being that people in history could see and touch. But the Holy Spirit–who Jesus promised would come after Jesus left–is…spirit. You can’t touch or see spirit exactly. But ironically, isn’t the spiritual life the more we’re all yearning for? Following Jesus and living life guided by the Spirit is like learning a different language, a different way of life, a life noticing the wild, untamable movement of God’s spirit even if we can't always see it with our eyes.
