Homecoming, vol. 4: Joy
We’ve been talking about Jesus’s coming to us at Christmas as homecoming. Even people with the best home experiences can remember house rules that were unfair. And there are plenty of people who simply have bad memories of the person or people who ruled their home. The good news of Christmas is that the ruler of the home to which we’re invited is humble and good—who rules with integrity and whose rule comes with the joy of heaven.

As we grow up in this world, we tend to lose our sense of "home" if we ever have it to begin with. Christmas is a story of homecoming in which God brings home to us when Jesus comes to Earth.
