Easter: Glory
In spite of the decline in people who consider themselves religious, most people believe in spirituality. Most people believe, for instance, that “there is something beyond the natural world, even if we cannot see it.” What if that something is glorious beyond our dreams? And what if our destiny is to be restored and transformed into the brilliant glory of that something? Could it be that this something and this destiny is the truth of our lives? It’s Easter. We’re going to talk about glory, a concept the Bible is obsessed with. We’re going to talk about the glorious story of a man who people swore they saw risen from the dead and in some bright, shining, glorious form. We’re going to talk about how Jesus came to bring his kingdom of light and glory to do battle with forces of evil, death and darkness that are destroying our world. He lived, died and was raised to make a path for us to join him as people of his light and glory.
