Where's Jesus? vol. 6: Faith Alone Will Not Save Us

Message at 29:25. There was an idea that became very popular in Christianity, especially in the last 500 years (not as much in the first 1500 years of its history): saved by faith alone. You may not care much about this idea, but it has had a significant impact on the Christianity that you and I have often experienced: a Christianity that’s mostly (only?) about what you say you believe which determines where you go after you die.

From Series: "Where's Jesus? Finding and Following Jesus When Much of Christianity Doesn't Look Like Him"

Data and stories reveal that a growing number of people, especially in younger generations, don't want much to do with Christianity. Folks feel like they can see Christians in every direction, but they can't necessarily see Jesus in the Christians they find. We're going to have an honest, hopeful series of conversations about rediscovering the Jesus whom so many folks in the first century were thrilled to see and seek with everything.
