Good Judgment, vol. 1: In the Beginning, There Was Vengeance

Recently we talked some about how much of Christianity in our neck of the woods has been negatively affected by distorted beliefs about things like afterlife, God’s judgment and “the end.” We talked about how the concept of judgment and how what we believe about “the end” greatly impacts how we act here and now. We’re kicking off a new series of conversations called Good Judgment to go even deeper with this. Can judgment actually be a good thing? Can it be a tool that serves to restore the world? We’re going to start with a story from the very beginning of the Bible where one brother murders. What’s that got to do with us today? What’s it got to do with “the end” and what we believe about judgment? Scripture: Genesis 4

From Series: "Good Judgment"

A lot of the rotten fruit we experience of Christianity in our neck of the woods comes from distorted views about "the end" and "judgment." We're stepping back to reexamine what the Bible, and especially Jesus, has to say about God's judgment, God's justice, and how everything gets made right in the end.
