no agenda, Just Love
Is it possible or even worthwhile to try to relate to others while having no agenda? Maybe not. It’s not that Jesus lived completely without an agenda or without expectations. His agenda was Love, a certain kind of love—God’s Love. It was with this love that he carried his message to others. He met people where they were. He didn’t treat them as means to an end. He didn’t control or manipulate them. He regularly stood up to people who were treating others as a means to an end. He showed how God is genuinely interested in every human life by the way he showed up in people’s lives.
